What is Ask.fm? Parents and Teachers warned: Website linked to Cyberbullying

This site does not promote positive online behavior. It’s one we encourage students to avoid as it is often linked to Cyberbullying.

Ask.fmTeens and Anonymity – they are not a good mix! I encourage parents of young teens in particular, to join this website, ask.fm and search for the names of your children. Or ask your child if they know about it. If your teen is on it, you may be shocked and disappointed by what you see, but it will allow you to have a worthwhile conversation (once you have calmed down!)

Like, Formspring.me and Qooh.me Ask.fm is the latest anonymous question and answer website frequented by teens.  It allows anyone to post anonymous comments and questions to a person’s profile and according to, Mail Online, it is increasingly being used to communicate abusive, bullying and sexualised content. Ask.fm operates a similar friend system to Instagram or Twitter: you can choose to “follow” someone but you cannot find out who is following you. You can read what they say but will never know who said it.  …
